THE ELECTIONS 2024

Elections 2024 will go down in history as the most widely criticized and condemned elections.

The Pakistan Army has become animals and there is no exception. Duty to country and humanity is dead.

Under Asim Munir’s enslaved intellect, tarnished patriotism, defunct morality, and abhorred human rights violation tactics, the Pakistani repressive, undemocratic and totalitarian regime on the democratic front stands marred with allegations of violence against PTI candidates, intimidation, suppression of opposition voices, and accusations of electoral manipulation.

Imran Khan (IK) with approximately ninety-percent popularity, is in jail on trumped up charges and he is denied due process. Khan’s captors have adamantly sworn to keep him incarcerated. Khan’s voters in a political and social siege have sworn to turn out in record numbers on the election day, February 08, 2024 to cast their democratic vote.

The country is well aware of the tactics and election results – A rigged election results annunciation is planned well in advanced. Inching towards the preconceived results, in February 2024, alone, the country witnessed gunning down two PTI candidates, Rehan Zeb Khan and Shah Khalid.

Around February 2024, Pakistanis have witnessed abduction for four PTI candidates running against Jehangir Khan Tareen. After abductions, all have recused themselves to run against Jehangir Khan Tareen, who is expected to win unopposed.

The horoscope

The generals are quite content to have a front-man Asim Munir rule, while each await their retirement to collect their benefits.

Gen. Hamid Gul is on the record; for a while, these men in uniform were born of whores you see, with their pimp foreign in nature in promoting them.

The DG ISI Anjum Nadeem has a little thinking to do to assume charge as the army chief. Nadeem’s named tarnished, along with a few others may accept the appointment.

Now, I set the stage for my scenarios. Let’s assume that PTI candidates running as independents score the expected landslide win. I shape the future of Pakistan under two scenarios.

A Tame Scenario

In my tamed scenario, after elections, the PTI’s independents have joined a party to form a government and the army chief Munir has chosen not to resign. Expect to see Ukraine’s precedence repeat in the case of Pakistan. President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny to resign, but Zaluzhny has refused.

The regime will remain in control of Pakistani forces (police, rangers and the army.) In effect, the country will resemble the democratic span of Imran Khan 2018 – 2022, where Khan was rendered ineffective. Th new parliament will be rendered ineffective.

Observing the trend, it is expected that the independent parliamentarians will get assassinated in some order. In the absence of a natural quorum in democracy, the assemblies will dissolve. The country will face another election.

A Rogue Scenario

In this scenario, whether Asim Munir is able to take a legal cover to remain as the army chief or otherwise, he will not step down after the end of his tenure.

No letting down on political assassinations, the precedence for political purges (assassinations and human rights abuses) are expected. History has recorded political purges for Joseph Stalin’s regime, Nazi Germany and Sadham Hussian. To bring a closure to the eminent reality of political purges, I share the Great Purge of 1936-1938, in Russia. Millions were impacted.

The United States has a great tradition of safeguarding individual rights, but the U.S. also has a history of political purges on the path of a nation’s maturity. An example, Japanese American Internment (1942-1945), where 100,000 Japanese and others were sent to internment camps. Other examples abound.

Analysis

The United States has journeyed into civility, how imperfect it may be. The growing pains of a nation has set Pakistan on a course of an arduous journey before the people could enforce civility into their society. The majority Pakistanis with an undeveloped sense of civitas, are expected to face a bloodier journey than the history has recorded for other nations.

The reason for a bloodier journey is Pakistan’s structureless governance and becoming a functionary of foreign powers.

Structured governance in countries prevail from a sense for the rule of law. Abraham Lincoln ultimately relieved Gen. George McClellan; Harry S. Truman relieved General Douglas MacArthur of his command and as late as 2010, Obama replaced McChrystal with General David Petraeus. Pakistani generals now deeply implicated in the IK April 2022 regime change and human rights atrocities would not resign.

How will Pakistan replace the sub stack of rouge generals? Should the country not concentrate on a movement for the removal of the generals and save good men and women from political purges (assassinations and human rights abuses)?

The history of Pakistan is telling. A militia from KP province standing in peace, pleading for and protecting the weak is expected to rise.
